In India, the tradition of making chapati, an unleavened bread, dates back to the Indus Valley Civilization during the Bronze Age. The simple tradition of crafting this bread includes slapping the dough between one's hands or rolling it out on a round board. Our collection of Stone Chapati Boards comes with three squat legs. These round, flat plates today can serve as a base for a collection of candles or sculptural artwork. Each piece varies in size, shape, and condition. Unlike other shops that have them, we hand-pick only the best ones to offer to our clients. It's very hard to find them flat and in good condition.
