From an artist’s perspective, Peter Batchelder is interested in the nature of the architecture, how it sits within its landscape, color and light. From a personal perspective, he finds himself often curious about the story of the building: who built it and why; the many people who have lived or worked in the building. As designers, we have loved the power and drama one of his paintings lend to a room. The vibrant color palette and simplistic subject matter in his work allows his painting to become a main focal point of interest in any décor.
