Timber and Glass Coffee Table

It only took me 3 years to complete! 3 years ago I found this old rusty steel nut flange that was destined to be transformed. The reclaimed steel nut flange that once held a large steel nut, now holds the legs complex sqaure to round tenon with a split walnut joint. The legs,1840's hand hewn wall studs rich in patina, are joined with hemlock connectors that hold the lower glass shelf. No nails or screws, just beautiful traditional joinery. Finished with a touch of glass. A fabulous balanced blend of steel, wood, and glass. A serious one-of-a-kind!

18"h x 24" diam base with 30" tempered glass top and 17" tempered glass lower shelf
