This contemporary art ceramic vessel is part of Andrew Berends' stunning new Horse-hair Collection. Berends' studio art pottery is a combination of Raku and contemporary design. The Horse-hair Collection is crafted by layering horse hair on the piece before the raku firing process. The results are a rich crazing effect over the cream glaze. Each piece is a one of a kind due to the type of process that is involved. Vessels are porous and cannot be filled with water.
