This cat boat sculpture is cast in bronze by artist Scott Nelles. Many years ago a unique style of practical work boat was developed on Cape Cod, MA. I don't know why, but they called it "The Cat Boat". For anyone who knows their traditional sail craft, they will know the Cape Cod Cat Boat. The sail boat sits on a separate cradle and the mast just slips through a hole in the fore deck.
