This table top mixed media sculpture is by Vermont based artist and renown glass blower Jen Violette. "Large Farm Dwelling" is composed of three pieces of sand cast glass placed atop of a hand-painted and patinated mahogany plank base. Stainless steel risers on the bottom elevate the sculpture. Glass pieces are modular and can be arranged in countless configuration. This is part of a very rare and limited series-"Blue House". The "Blue House" series is made from solid blue glass, not glass that has been colored. This very complex process is that requires a glass shop to shut down production in order to create the blue glass inside of the crucible.
